Naftali Group files to demolish Williamsburg building to make way for 500K sf project

Naftali Group, on August 31, filed a permit application for the demolition of a building at 470 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg.

The plans call for the demolition of a building.

The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of three-story structure using partial mechanical means as per plans filed herewith.

While it is unclear what Naftali plans to do with the site once it is vacant, the developer will have the ability to construct three towers with 800 residential units, after the property was granted a zoning change in 2011. The site also has 500,000-square-feet of residential air rights.
