Owner files plan for $2M rehab of UES townhouse

The entity MRM74 LLC, on July 6, filed a permit application for a $2 million rehabilitation of the entire two-family townhouse at 132 East 74th Street in the Upper East Side.

The plans call for a rehab of the cellar, roof, and floors one through five of the 50-foot tall, 5-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: interior renovation of existing townhouse associated with general construction scope. No change in use, egress or occupancy with this application. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $2,000,000.

It is the first renovation filed by the developer since they bought the property last summer.

The property was acquired for $7.5 million on July 8, 2019.
