Monadnock permitted for $3.4M interior rehab of resi building in Central Harlem

Monadnock Development, on February 3, was given a permit for a $3.4 million rehabilitation of several floors of a residential building at 120 West 140th Street in Central Harlem. The building is part of a two-building tax lot with 126 residential units.

The plans, pre-filed on August 21, 2020, call for a rehab of the cellar and all floors of the 89-foot tall, five-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: filed for interior renovation of cellar through fifth floor existing five-story multiple dwelling: remove/replace non-bearing partitions, ceiling/floor finishes windows and doors as per plans filed herewith; no change to use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,375,000.

SLM Architecture is listed as the architect.

The developer filed three A2 plans at the building last year.
