Mikerose Realty plans to build a new nine-story, 50,741-square-feet, 59-unit, building at 2892 Nostrand Avenue in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, according to a filing with the city’s Department of City Planning. The building will have 4,505-square-feet of commercial space, and 4,598-square-feet of community facility use. The parcel is currently occupied by a 5,016-square-foot commercial and office building.
Mikhail Vaysman, CEO of Mikerose Realty, filed plans with the city’s Department of Buildings in 2012 for a 41,106-square-foot commercial building that was never permitted. Vaysman’s Mikerose acquired the property in 1995.
To facilitate the construction of the building, the developer filed a zoning map amendment from R3-2 to R7A, R7A/C2-4, and R6B/C2-4 and a text amendment to map a Mandatory Inclusionary Housing Area (ZR Appendix F) on May 19.
