Leo Klein is fully permitted for 58-unit mixed-use building in Brownsville
Leo Klein through the company 103 Liberty LLC, on February 11, was given a permit for construction of a 58-unit, 37,570-square-foot mixed-use building at 103 Liberty Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn.
In the previous 12 months there have been 19 new building plans, including these, filed in Brownsville. The plans combined call for the construction of 480 dwelling units in the neighborhood.
The plans, pre-filed on February 17, 2021, call for the construction of a 74-foot tall, eight-story, 37,570-square-foot mixed-use building with 58 residential units.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed eight-story mixed-use building, one commercial space, and 58 residential apartments.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby, one dwelling unit, commercial space, and parking space. The second floor will have eight dwelling units, floors three through seven will each have nine dwelling units per floor, while the eighth floor will have three dwelling units and indoor and outdoor recreation spaces.
The property was acquired with four other properties for $1.8 million on June 15, 2005.
