Kalman Tabak files to convert ground floor commercial to nonprofit with sleeping in Tremont residential building
Kalman Tabak, on May 8, filed a permit application for a $574,400 change in use of the two floors of a 57,444-square-foot residential building at 437 Morris Park Avenue in Tremont.
The plans call for no change in size but a change in use of the cellar and ground floor of the 60-foot tall, 6-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: proposed alteration type 1 to convert ground floor commercial space to non-profit institutions with sleeping accommodations use group 3a – community faculty The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $574,400.
