Icon Realty receives TCO for 100K sf mixed-use building in Yorkville

Icon Realty Management, on August 27, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 32-unit, 100,824-square-foot residential building at 1562 Second Avenue in Yorkville. The building has an alternate address of 301 East 81st Street.

The plans, pre-filed on September 24, 2014, call for the construction of a 215-foot tall, 19-story mixed-use building. The time from pre-file to TCO was just under six years. Todd Cohen of Icon was the owner representative on the filing.

The project is described in the filings as: application filed to a construct a new 19-story mixed-use building.

The plans show that the cellar of the basement has a yoga room, laundry room, and storage space. The ground floor has retail space as well as a lounge. The dwelling units span floors two through 19, ranging from half of a duplex to three units per floor.

The building is known as Beckford House, and includes additional amenities such as a swimming pool and basketball court. Icon is also developing the Beckford Tower at 301 East 80th Street.
