Hampshire Properties planning 575K sf office, retail tower in Williamsburg

Hampshire Properties is moving forward with plans to construct a 575,765-square-foot high-rise with office, retail and a banquet hall at 500 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg. Hampshire Properties is led by company founder, Tomas Rosenthal.

The 20-story building, which will be situated along the Williamsburg waterfront, will have a parking garage and 23,000-square-feet of public open space areas.

The plans along with the file number 21DCP139K, were disclosed in a filing seeking a zoning map amendment from M3-1 to M1-5, a special permit to modify heights, a special permit to allow a public parking garage, and several authorizations to modify design requirements within the waterfront public access areas.

Hampshire Properties acquired the 2.65-acre development site from Con Edison for $50 million in 2019.

No new building plans have been fled with the NYC DOB yet.
