Grid Group files plans for 393-unit mixed-use building in Harlem
Grid Group, on December 17, filed a permit application for construction of a 393-unit, 409,961-square-foot mixed-use building at 1440 Amsterdam Avenue in Harlem, Manhattan. Yiannes Einhorn, principal and co-founder of the firm, filed the plans.
The plans call for the construction of the most dwelling units in Harlem this year, according to a PincusCo analysis of plans that were filed with the NYC DOB.
The plans call for the construction of a 283-foot-tall, 26-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00641741. The development site spans two tax lots.
The project is described in the filing as: erect new mixed-use, mostly residential building.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby, community space, and multiple retail spaces. The second floor will have parking for 199 cars. Floors three through 19 will each have 19 dwelling units per floor, and floors 20 through 26 will each have 10 dwelling units per floor.
