George Rigas files plans for 77-unit resi building in Coney Island
George Rigas, on October 12, filed a permit application for construction of a 77-unit, 66,664-square-foot residential building at 2905 West 17th Street in Coney Island, Brooklyn.
These are the third new building plans filed in Coney Island this year. Of the plans, these call for the construction of the first residential building. The plans call for the construction of the second most residential units since the start of 2019.
The plans call for the construction of a 80-foot-tall, eight-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00561184. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: proposed to erect eight-story Quality Housing new building as per plans filed herewith.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have four residential units. Floors two through six will each have 13 dwelling units per floor, while floors seven and eight will each have four dwelling units. The seventh floor will also have recreational space. The cellar will have a residential lobby and a retail store.
The building will have off-street parking space for 45 cars.
The architect listed is Noesis Designs Architecture PLLC.
The property was acquired with two other properties for $5.8 million on September 13, 2018.
