Feil files plans to demolish three Downtown BK buildings where family has 400K buildable sf
The Feil Organization, on October 4, filed three permit applications for the demolition of buildings at 370, 366, and 356 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn.
The family owns all but one property on the block, which is located between Red Hook Lane and Smith Street. According to a report from The Real Deal earlier this year, after the firm confirmed it was in contract to buy a four-parcel portfolio at 360-370 Fulton Street, Feil now owns about 400,000 buildable square feet on the block.
No new building plans have been filed yet.
The site is catty-corner from a city block also fronting Fulton Street where the Laboz family’s United American Land controls nearly all the parcels. The Laboz family holds approximately 376,670 square feet of development rights.
On the Feil parcel, both 370 and 366 Fulton Street were acquired in a $20 million purchase which also included a third parcel located at 362 Fulton Street from Modell’s Sporting Goods earlier this year.
356 Fulton Street has been owned by the family since 2015, when it was purchased for $43 million on December 21, 2015.
The first plans call for the demolition of a four-story building at 370 Fulton Street.
The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of four-story building using handheld equipment. Mechanical construction equipment used for loading debris.
