Durst permitted for $11M rehab of 825 Third Avenue
The Durst Organization, on February 19, was given a permit for an $11 million rehabilitation of an office building at 825 Third Avenue in Midtown East.
The plans, pre-filed on October 5, 2020, call for a rehab of the sub-cellar, cellar, roof, and floors two through 39 of the 403-foot tall, 39-story building.
The plans were originally filed in late September of 2020, before being withdrawn and filed again in October.
The project is described in the filings as: removal and installation of interior non-bearing partitions and related finishes as per plans filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $10,950,070.
Gensler was the architect.
The tenants of the 539,000-square-foot building include Fox Horan & Camerini, Focus Financial Partners, and Madison Realty, among others.
