Brooklyn College in Midwood permitted for a $5.6M rehab to building’s roof

The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, on July 7, was given a permit for a $5.6 million renovation to the roof of the Brooklyn College building at 2955 Bedford Avenue in Midwood.

The plans, pre-filed on November 12, 2019, call for a rehab of the roof of the 62-foot tall, 5-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: Brooklyn College, Ingersoll Hall extension – roof repairs including railing installation as per the plans filed. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $5,600,000.

Superstructures Eng + Arch is the architect on the filing.

The rehab is part of a series of improvements to the science facilities and old lecture halls throughout the college’s campus.
