Disney files for $37M in build-outs at under-construction Hudson Square headquarters
Walt Disney Company, on August 9, filed two plans for a total of $37 million of build-out work in conjunction with the construction of their new headquarters at 310 Hudson Street in Hudson Square.
Roughly two years ago, Disney filed new building plans calling for the construction of a 290-foot tall, 19-story, 852,912-square-foot building at the site. The plans were permitted earlier this year.
The building, which will be broken into an east and west tower, will have several retail spaces located on the ground floor, according to the plans.
Disney purchased the site from Trinity Church for $650 million in 2018, along with four other parcels.
The first plans call for $22.2 million of work on floors three through five of the 290-foot-tall, 19-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00570591.
The project is described in the filing as: interior renovations on floors three through five, as shown on plans. No change in use, occupancy or egress. In conjunction with NB job #121205864.
The architect listed is Gensler.

The second plans call for $14.8 million of work on the cellar and sub-cellar of the 290-foot-tall, 19-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00570569.
The project is described in the filing as: interior renovations at sub-cellar and cellar, as shown on plans. No change in use, occupancy or egress. In conjunction with NB job #121205864.
The architect listed is Gensler.
