Disney files $7M plans related to 858K sf Soho office tower

Walt Disney Company, on April 18, filed plans for a $7M project pertaining to the construction of the company’s 858,160-square-foot headquarters at 310 Hudson Street in Soho, Manhattan.

In August of 2019, Disney filed new building plans calling for the construction of a 290-foot tall, 19-story office building at the site. The plans were permitted in December of the same year.

Below are renderings of the development.

Per the plans, the building will have an east and west tower. There will be several retail spaces on the ground floor.

Disney purchased the five-parcel development site from Trinity Church for $650 million the year prior.

A report from The Real Deal when the new building plans were filed, said the headquarters building is expected to house Disney’s New York operations as well as production space for “The View” and ABC News.

The plans relate to the use of a mini crane at the building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00707544.

The project is described in the filing as: use of mini crane at 310 Hudson Street during major alteration, filed separately under 121205864.
