Demo completed ahead of 304K sf school development in Woodside

On September 7 the demolition of a 45,654-square-foot building was formally completed at 51-30 Northern Boulevard in Woodside, Queens.

The New York City School Construction Authority purchased the parcel, along with 53-20 Northern Boulevard and 53-22 Northern Boulevard, for $40 million on October 11, 2019.

According to local reports, the NYC SCA is planning to construct a six-story, 304,617-square-foot school at the site.

The demo plans, pre-filed on November 1, 2019 by the previous owner, call for the demolition of a single-story commercial building.

The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of one-story commercial building with partial mechanical means and methods, by use of equipment construction equipment; skid steer loader, mini excavator, excavator, as per plans.
