CW Realty Group receives TCO for 96-unit mixed-use building in Williamsburg
Cheskie Weisz’s CW Realty Group, on September 9, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 96-unit, 82,994-square-foot residential building at 187 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg.
The plans, pre-filed on January 20, 2017, call for the construction of an 85-foot tall, seven-story mixed-use building. The time from pre-file to TCO was three years and nine months.
The project is described in the filings as: proposed new seven-story mixed use new building as per plans.
The cellar of the building has accessory retail space, storage, a laundry room, co-working room, and tenant amenity space, according to the filing. The ground floor has multiple retail spaces and a residential lobby, as well as four parking spaces and an attendant parking booth. The second floor has office space and parking for an additional 134 cars. Floors three though five each have 22 dwelling units, the third floor also has a 4,415-square-foot outdoor recreation space. The sixth floor has 17 dwelling units and terraces, while the seventh floor has 13 dwelling units and a 2,048-square-foot recreation room.
Diego Aguilera Architects P.C. was behind the architecture.
The property was acquired for $42.5 million on March 16, 2017.
An affordable housing lottery opened for 29 of the units back in June. The affordable units include seven studios, seven one-bedroom units, and 15 two-bedroom units, with monthly rents ranging from $1,101 to $2,710.
