Hello Living sues Arbor over $15M loan: Eli Karp of Hello Living claims defendant Maurice Kaufman is seeking to buy 2417 Albemarle Road, Brooklyn, which is subject to a $15 million mortgage, and Arbor, led by Kaufman’s father Ivan Kaufman, declared the loan in default last week. “Plaintiffs Hello Albemarle and Eli Karp seek a declaratory judgment declaring that the default notice dated March 11, 2021, which defendants Arbor Realty and Arbor Commercial sent to them, is null and void.” LINK
Argentic seeks $14.5M from Ben Ashkenazy, contractor, at 115 Seventh Avenue: “Lender had determined that, as of March 4, 2021, the Liquidated Overrun Amount was $14,537,187 and demanded that Guarantors pay such amount to Lender within five business days of the date of the letter.” The guarantors are Ashkenazy and Granite Companies, according to the complaint. Argentic loaned $46.2 million in 2017 to Ashkenazy’s firm. LINK
