Coney Island Hospital files plans for demolition of six-story medical building

Coney Island Hospital, on January 24, filed a permit application for the demolition of a building at 2601 Ocean Parkway in Coney Island, Brooklyn.

The building, known as the Hammett Building, is one of 16 buildings located on the lot. It is unclear what the hospital plans to do with the space.

The plans call for the demolition of a six-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: demolition means and methods for full demolition of six-story Hammett Building.
