CommonWealth files for $8M renovation of office building in Midtown West

CommonWealth Partners, on March 30, filed a permit application for a $8.3 million renovation of an office building at 787 Seventh Avenue in Midtown West.

The plans call for a renovation of the 720-foot tall, 51-story, building. In the initial filing DOB did not disclose what floors the work would be on.

The project is described in the filings as: filing for interior renovation as per plans filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy under this application.

The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $8,250,000.

The building is owned by CalPERS, a California pension fund. The building was purchased from AXA financial back in 2016 for $1.9 billion.
