Clipper Equity and CW Realty file plans for a 143-unit, 98K sf residential building in Williamsburg

Clipper Equity and CW Realty, on April 29, filed a permit application for construction of a 143-unit, 98,163-square-foot residential building at 134 Hope Street in Williamsburg.

The plans call for the construction of a 70-foot tall, 7-story, residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed 7 story and cellar mixed use building with a total of 143 dwelling units

The plans show that the proposed building will have general retail space on the ground floor, along with 12 dwelling units, a residential lobby, laundry facilities, bicycle storage, and 2,371-square-feet of recreation space in the form of a gym/yoga facility and communal work area. Floors two through five will have 22 dwelling units each while the seventh floor will have 21 dwelling units along with a 527-square-feet recreation space. The roof will have a recreation space as well.

In late 2018, Heatherwood Luxury Rentals filed plans to build a 100,000-square-feet, 100-unit luxury rental apartment building on the property. However, the firm ultimately opted to sell the property in early 2020 when David Bistricer of Clipper Equity and Cheskie Weisz of CW Realty purchased it along with two other parcels for $27.2 million through the entity Hope-Keap Owner LLC.
