City receives TCO following construction of 49K sf school in Woodlawn
NYC School Construction Authority, on August 4, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 49,421-square-foot school building at 311 East 237th Street in Woodlawn.
The plans, pre-filed on July 26, 2017, call for the construction of a 75-foot tall, four-story school building. The time from pre-file to TCO was just over three years.
The project is described in the filings as: filing herewith for new building addition to existing school.
The ground floor of the building has a cafeteria, gymnasium, servery, kitchen, storage space, and office space according to the plans. The second and third floors each have classrooms, offices and storage space. The fourth floor has a gym, classrooms, offices, and storage.
On May 5 and 6, the NYC SCA filed plans for five new school buildings in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. The SCA has been filing for new developments, and renovations of existing developments, consistently throughout 2020.
