City permitted for 134K sf garage and repair shop in SI
New York City, on June 4, was given a permit for construction of a 134,348-square-foot garage and repair shop for the New York City Department of Design and Construction at 1000 West Service Road in Staten Island.
The city recently received permits for the construction of a fueling station connected to the garage.
The plans, pre-filed on February 20, 2019, call for the construction of a 46-foot tall, two-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: new District One and District Three garage and repair shop.
TEN Arquitectos is the architect listed.
These facilities will reportedly serve as the foundation of DSNY’s operations for two of three districts in Staten Island and house truck parking and repair facilities, administrative offices, a fueling station, salt shed, recycling center and more.
