City finishes $7.8M rehab of Jamaica high school
The New York City School Construction Authority, on May 24, formally completed a $7.8 million exterior rehabilitation of Edison High School at 165-65 84th Avenue in Jamaica, Queens.
The plans, pre-filed on April 29, 2014, call for a rehab of the roof and all floors of the 47-foot tall, four-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: Edison High School: exterior masonry repairs including repointing, face brick replacement, replacement of lintels, and related work replacement of parapets including flashing, coping, etc; roofing replacement and related work, repair of spalled and deteriorated concrete where shown. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $7,759,623.
The NYC SCA was also the architect.
