NYCHA finishes $4.3M multi-floor rehab of 51-unit building in Mott Haven

The New York City Housing Authority, on March 31, formally completed a $4.3 million renovation of a 51-unit residential building at 700 East 140th Street in Mott Haven.

The plans, pre-filed on September 26, 2018, call for a rehab of all floors, the cellar, and the roof of the 50-foot tall, five-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: application filed for minor alterations to apartments including cabinet and door replacements, lobby finishes, plumbing fixture replacement, exhaust replacements, window replacement, recover roof and new landscaping. no change in use, egress, or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $4,347,000.
