City files to demolish two buildings in Inwood ahead of 108K sf school
The New York City School Construction Authority, on November 1, filed two permit applications for the demolition of two buildings at 3761 10th Avenue and 426 West 202nd Street in Inwood, in Manhattan, ahead of the construction of a new public school M502.
Late last month the city filed a permit application for construction of a 108,152-square-foot school building at 3761 10th Avenue.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a kitchen, cafeteria, and office space. Floors two through four will all have classroom and office space. The fifth floor will have classrooms, offices, a library, and an exercise area. The sixth floor will have classrooms and storage space.
The city acquired the parcels in July in two separate transactions from Paul Gagliardi for a total of $23.6 million.
The first plans call for the demolition of a two-story structure at 3761 10th Avenue.
The project is described in the filings as: m502 : demolition : demolition of metal container units stacked on top of each other in two-story level including its associated piping and wiring.
