City files plans for $7.7M exterior rehab of Clinton school

The New York City School Construction Authority, on April 11, filed plans for a $7.7M rehabilitation of the exterior of a school building at 525 West 50th Street in Clinton, Manhattan.

The plans call for work on the exterior of the 77-foot-tall, four-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00711563.

The project is described in the filing as: Restore exterior masonry, coping stone, replace face brick, repoint, install wall flashing, anti-graffiti coating. Roofing replacement and flashing, roof gravel stops, replace doors at roof. Rebuild corner parapet above entry. Interior wall, ceiling repairs.

The architect listed is DRG Architects.

The property was acquired with 162 other properties for $5.9 million on September 30, 2014.
