City files plans for 50K sf school in Pelham Parkway

The New York City School Construction Authority, on May 12, filed a permit application for construction of a 50,742-square-foot school building at 2080 Cruger Avenue in Pelham Parkway, the Bronx. The building will be an addition to an existing school at the site.

These are only the second new building plans filed in the neighborhood in the previous 12 months.

The plans call for the construction of a 75-foot-tall, five-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00709562.

The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: construction of new building addition to existing school as per plans filed herewith.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have kindergarten classrooms and offices. The second floor will have guidance suites, classrooms, and storage space. Floors three and four will have classrooms and offices. The basement of the building will have a cafeteria, kitchen, and lockers.

The architect listed is CTA Architects P.C.
