City files plans for $4M exterior rehab of LIC school
New York City School Construction Authority, on March 11, filed a permit application for a $4 million exterior rehabilitation of a building at 36-41 28th Street in Long Island City.
The plans, pre-filed on March 11, 2021, call for work on the basement, roof, and all floors of the 38-foot tall, three-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: q204-exterior masonry repairs to include replacement of parapets and face brick. New lintels. Repair concrete. No change to use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $4,000,000.
The NYC SCA is also listed as the architect for the repair.
