City files plans for $38.1 in rehabs of schools in Brooklyn, Bronx
The New York City School Construction Authority, on April 7, filed three permit applications for a total of $38.1 million in rehabilitation projects of three schools in Gravesend, Park Slope, and the Mt. Hope neighborhood in the Bronx.
The first plans call for a rehab of the basement, roof, and all floors of the 60-foot tall, four-story building at 99 Avenue P in Gravesend.
The project is described in the filings as: K096- remove and replace existing roofs, parapets, spandrels, face brick replacement with lintels, plaster repairs and painting. Repair of spandrels and columns. Reseal doors and masonry openings. As per plans filed herewith, plumbing and mechanical filed as subsequent applications. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $18,117,052.

The second plans call for a rehab of the cellar, roof, all floors, and space outside of the 65-foot tall, four-story building at 511 7th Avenue in Park Slope.
The project is described in the filings as: K010-replace parapets, roof, windows, face brick including lintels with new. Repair spandrel and columns, window guards. Replace exterior stair. Sidewalk and vault replacement. plaster and paint. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $12,000,000.

The third plans call for replacement of oil boilers with gas boilers, in the 67-foot tall, four-story building at 1865 Morris Avenue in the Mt. Hope neighborhood in the Bronx.
The project is described in the filings as: remove three existing oil-fired boilers and all associated piping, breeching, climate controls, chemical feeds, dampers and controls. Abandon the oil tanks and replace with three new gas fired boilers with all associated piping, breeching, climate controls, dampers and louvers and a new chimney liner and chemical feeds and new valves and steam traps. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $8,000,000.
