Charney Companies files plans for 54-unit mixed-use building in LIC
Charney Companies, on February 11, filed a permit application for construction of a 54-unit, 61,639-square-foot mixed-use building at 24-11 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Samuel Charney, principal of Charney Companies, filed the plans.
The developer recently filed plans for the construction of a 72-unit, 64,730-square-foot residential building at 417 Carroll Street and a 72-unit, 64,730-square-foot residential building at 498 Union Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
The plans call for the construction of a 96-foot-tall, seven-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00674206. The development site spans one tax lot.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have retail space and a residential lobby. Floors two through four will each have 14 dwelling units per floor, while floors five through seven will each have four dwelling units per floor.
