Bowery Residents’ Committee files plans for 29K sf shelter in Inwood
Bowery Residents’ Committee, Inc. (BRC), on August 3, filed a permit application for construction of a 12-unit, 29,834-square-foot shelter at 3972 10th Avenue in Inwood, Manhattan. Lilia Marini-Calves, CFO of BRC, filed the plans.
The plans call for the construction of a 54-foot-tall, four-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00775346.
The development site spans one tax lot. The lot has a width of 100 feet.
The project is described in the filing as: filing herewith new four-story shelter as per plans.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby, sacred center, and offices. The second floor will have a recreation room, meeting room, offices, terrace, and four units. The third floor will have four units, recreation space, and offices, and the fourth floor will have four units, recreation space, and offices.
The architect listed is Edelman Sultan Knox Wood/Architects.
The property was acquired for $10.4 million on November 3, 2021.
