Bluesky Builders files plans for 50-unit mixed-use building in Williamsburg
Hershy Silberstein’s Bluesky Builders, on October 28, filed a permit application for construction of a 50-unit, 35,329-square-foot mixed-use building at 228 Berry Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
The developer recently filed plans for the construction of a 69-unit, 42,926-square-foot building at 2136 Honeywell Avenue in Tremont, the Bronx.
There have been 35 new building plans filed in Williamsburg so far this year. The plans call for a total of 1,262 new dwelling units in the neighborhood. These plans call for the construction of the 10th most dwelling units so far this year.
The plans call for the construction of an 85-foot-tall, eight-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00614702. The development site spans three tax lots.
The project is described in the filing as: new residential, with 50 units, and commercial development.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby, recreation space, and commercial space. The second floor will have parking for 31 cars. Floors three through five will each have 10 dwelling units per floor, the sixth floor will have eight dwelling units, the seventh floor will have seven dwelling units, and the eighth floor will have five dwelling units. The roof will have and terrace and the cellar of the building will have additional commercial space.
The architect listed is Hamish Whitefield Architects P.C.
The estimated job cost is listed at $3 million.
The property was acquired with three other properties for $13.2 million on December 10, 2018.
