BEB Capital files plans for 425-unit mixed-use building, most units planned in Bed-Stuy in 10 years

BEB Capital, on October 19, filed a permit application for construction of a 425-unit, 397,252-square-foot mixed-use building at 1065 Atlantic Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Craig Miller, director of development and asset manager at BEB Capital, filed the plans.

According to an analysis of new building plans filed with the NYC DOB, these plans called for the construction of the most dwelling units in Bedford-Stuyvesant in at least the last 10 years.

Last month the developer filed a permit application for construction of a 185-unit, 144,201-square-foot mixed-use building at 737 4th Avenue in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. A representative with the development confirmed with PincusCo that BEB Capital is working alongside Brooklyn-based developer Totem to construct the project. The plans also called for the construction of the most dwelling units in Sunset Park in at least the last 10 years, according to an analysis by PincusCo Media.

The plans call for the construction of a 175-foot-tall, 17-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00606335. The development site spans five tax lots.

The project is described in the filing as: 17-Story mixed-use new building.

According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby and four retail spaces. The second floor will have office space and non-profit space. The third floor will have 24 dwelling units, floors four through nine will each have 31 dwelling units per floor, floors 10 through 12 will each have 30 dwelling units per floor, the 13th floor will have 28 dwelling units, the 14th floor will have 24 dwelling units, the 15th floor will have 27 dwelling units, the 16th floor will have 24 dwelling units, and the 17th floor will have 22 dwelling units. The roof will have recreation space. Parking space will be located in the building’s cellar and sub-cellar.

The property was acquired with three other properties for $6.6 million on December 19, 2019.
