Developer plans to demolish 108K sf former Staten Island Advance offices in SI

Asher Halberstam, on July 11, filed a permit application for the demolition of a 107,800-square-foot office building at 950 West Fingerboard Road, Dongan Hills in Staten Island.

The developer, operating through the entity 950 W. Fingerboard LLC, paid $13 million to the S.I. Newhouse family holding company Advance for the office building earlier this year.

No new building plans have been filed yet. The property has a total buildable of 179,500 square feet according to PincusCo analysis of city data.

The plans call for the demolition of a four-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: full demolition to a four-story building.

The property was acquired for $13 million on December 21, 2021.
