Altmark Group permitted for 139-unit resi building in Mott Haven

Altmark Group, on October 25, was given a permit for construction of a 139-unit, 131,913-square-foot residential building at 2455 Third Avenue in Mott Haven, the Bronx.

Both foundation and new building permits were issued to the developer. An initial foundation and earthwork permit was issued in August.

The plans were one of 18 new building plans filed in Mott Haven in 2019. There have only been three new building plans filed in the neighborhood this year.

The plans, pre-filed on December 26, 2019, call for the construction of a 250-foot tall, 24-story residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: construct new twenty-four story residential use building as per plans filed.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby, lounge, retail space, and a gallery. The second floor will have parking for 70 cars. The fourth floor will have recreation space and five dwelling units. Floors five and six will each have nine dwelling units, floors seven through 20 will each have seven dwelling units per floor, and floors 21 through 23 will each have six dwelling units per floor. The 24th floor will have recreation space.

Woods Bagot is listed as the architect.
