Alexandria Real Estate files plans for $15M project at LIC life-science building
Alexandria Real Estate Equities, on May 24, filed plans for a $15 million build-out of two floors of a life-science building at 30-02 48th Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. The building is commonly called the Bindery building.
Alexandria purchased the 175,000-square-foot property for $75 million, at a value of $430 per square foot, on October 9, 2018.
The plans call for work on floors one and two of the 60-foot-tall, three-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00732559.
The project is described in the filing as: Removal and installation of interior non-bearing partitions and related finishes as per plans filed herewith. No change in use, occupancy or egress.
Alexandria mainly develops office and lab space for life science companies.
