$7.2M plan filed to install solar panels on industrial building in Brooklyn

On September 11, a permit application was filed for a $7.2 million project to install solar panels on the approximately 3,900-square-foot roof of the building at 4301 Avenue H in Farragut, Brooklyn.

The plans call for work on the roof of the 35-foot tall, 3,900-square-foot, one-story, building. The plans were filed by Green Street Power Partners, a developer, financier, owner, and operator of solar energy systems.

The building is owned by JDT Realty Enterprises LLC, which bought it in 2009 for $200,000.

The project is described in the filings as: installation of solar panels on existing roof structure. No change in egress, use, or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $7,199,280.

These are the first plans filed with the NYC Department of Buildings at the property.
