Winchester Equities gets TCO for 43-unit residential building in Sheepshead Bay

Winchester Equities, on May 6, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy following the construction of a 43-unit, 44,503-square-foot residential building at 2226 Ocean Avenue in Sheepshead Bay.

The plans call for the construction of an 80-foot tall, 8-story, residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: construction of an eight-story new building.

The plans show the ground floor has two recreation rooms totaling 1,679-square-feet. Floors two through five have eight dwelling units each, floors six and seven both have six dwelling units, and the eighth floor have five dwelling units. The average scope of each unit is about 900-square feet.

The two buildings which previously occupied the property were demolished in 2015 according to past filings.

The property was acquired for $2.6 million on April 1, 2015.

Dan Ionescu Architects is listed as the architect for the project.
