Vornado finishes $6.2M multi-floor rehab of 770 Broadway in East Village
Vornado Realty Trust, on November 10, formally completed a $6.2 million rehabilitation of two floors of 770 Broadway in East Village.
The plans, pre-filed on October 22, 2014, call for a rehab of floors one and two of the 175-foot tall, 15-story, building. The cost estimate at the time was $4.7 million.
The project is described in the filings as: removal and installation of interior non load bearing partitions and related finishes as per plans filed herewith. No change in use, egress, or occupancy under this application. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $4,700,000.00.
Gehry Partners was the architect.
The developer has filed three A2 rehab plans at the building so far this year. The most recent, pre-filed on June 11, called for an $80,000 rehab of three floors of the building.
Facebook is one of the major tenants in the nearly one million square foot office. The social media conglomerate occupies 270,000-square-feet of the building, including the entire 15th floor.
