Vornado files plans for $7.3M multi-floor rehab at 1 Penn Plaza

Vornado Realty Trust, on September 8, filed plans for a $7.3 million rehabilitation of two floors at 1 Penn Plaza in Manhattan. 1 Penn Plaza is a 2.7 million-square-foot office building between Seventh and Eighth avenues and 33rd and 34th streets.

The plans call for work on floors 35 and 36 of the 699-foot-tall, 57-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00583509.

The project is described in the filing as: Removal and installation of interior non-bearing partitions and related finishes as per plans filed herewith. No change in use, occupancy or egress.

The architect listed is Gensler.

The developer recently filed plans for a $35 million project that will demolish down to the ground floor the 101-year-old Hotel Pennsylvania at 401 Seventh Avenue in Penn Plaza.
