The Marcal Group files plans for 76-unit mixed-use building in Rockaway Park

Mark Caller’s Marcal Group, on April 26, filed a permit application for construction of a 76-unit, 84,565-square-foot mixed-use building at 155 Beach 115th Street in Rockaway Park, Queens. Abraham Caller, project manager at the firm, filed the plans.

The developer has filed several new building plans in recent months, including two other projects in Queens. This past September, the developer filed a permit application for construction of a 26-unit, 20,172-square-foot residential building at 22-25 New Haven Avenue in Far Rockaway, Queens. In December of 2021, Marcal Group filed plans for construction of a 187-unit, 180,091-square-foot residential building at 3250 Westchester Avenue in Pelham Bay, the Bronx. Then, on February 16, filed a permit application for construction of a 66-unit, 45,647-square-foot building at 11-27 Foam Place in Far Rockaway, Queens.

There have been seven new building plans, including these, filed in Rockaway Park in the previous 12 months.

The plans call for the construction of an 80-foot-tall, eight-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00716326.

The development site spans multiple tax lots. The lot has a width of 160 feet.

The project is described in the filing as: new mixed-use building containing residential and commercial use.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby and retail space. The second floor will have 10 dwelling units, while floors three through eight will each have 11 dwelling units per floor.

The architect listed is Fischer Makooi Architects PLLC.

The estimated job cost for the project is currently listed at $25,369,600
