Ascend Group, partners submit condo plan with 60 units in LES

On October 5, a condominium plan was submitted by the Ascend Group for 60 residential units at 222 East Broadway in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The development also includes Round Square Development and Optimum Asset Management Group.

The condo plan, CD210281, does not have a sellout price listed with the New York State Attorney General. Robert Kaliner, Rodolfo Misitano, and Wayne Heicklen are listed as the principals.

In October of 2019, the developer filed new building plans with the NYC Department of Buildings calling for the construction of a 333-foot tall, 30-story, 84,717-square-foot residential building at the property. The DOB plans only list 52 dwelling units.

Yimby released renderings of the development in 2019.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby, rear yard, and one dwelling unit. Floors two through seven will each have three dwelling units per floor, the eighth floor will have one dwelling unit, floors nine through 12 will each have three dwelling units per floor, floors 13 through 16 will each have two dwelling units per floor, the 17th floor will have one dwelling unit, floors 18 through 20 will each have two dwelling units per floor, and floors 21 through 25 will each have one dwelling unit per floor. The upper floors will house mechanical equipment.

The plans were permitted in October of last year.
