TCO for 30K sf storage building in Bushwick

Treasure Island Storage, on March 30, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 30,595-square-foot storage building at 1654 Bushwick Avenue in Bushwick. James Coakley, President at TI Management, filed the plans.

Treasure Island Storage is an affiliate of Ken Cayre’s Cayre Equities.

The plans, pre-filed on September 21, 2017, call for the construction of a 51-foot tall, three-story building. The time from pre-file to TCO was three years and seven months.

The project is described in the filings as: erect three-story new building per plans filed herewith.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building has a lobby, office, storage space, loading and receiving area, and multiple loading berths. Floors two and three, along with the cellar and sub-cellar all are used for additional storage space.

Butz Wilbern Ltd was the architect.

The property was acquired for $4.5 million on August 2, 2016.
