Taub family shifts ownership valued at $17M for Sunnyside shopping center

This is sale of ownership between members of the Taub family, which has owned the fee interest for decades for the tax class shopping center with parking facilities (K6) at 48-18 Northern Boulevard in Sunnyside. The deal closed on December 31, 2020 and was recorded on January 25, 2021. The property owned by the Taubs is ground leased.
The property contains a total of 241,993 square feet of built space.
The total consideration was $17.2 million in two transactions from Taub family members to the Marc Taub-controlled Taub Development. The property is controlled by C-III through a ground lease it acquired in 2019 for $16 million.
Over the past five years, there have been 4 NYC Department of Buildings permit applications filed for this parcel valued at more than $20,000. There were 4 renovation/alteration projects (A2) applied for with a total estimated value of $408,300.
