Tamares Group files plans for $1.7M rehab to retail at 1500 Broadway in Times Square

Tamares Group, on July 6, filed a permit application for a $1.7 million rehab of multiple floors of a building at 1500 Broadway in Times Square.

The plans call for a rehab of the sub-cellar, cellar, and ground floor of the 413-foot tall, 33-story, building. Tamares Group is controlled by billionaire British investor Chaim “Poju” Zabludowicz.

The project is described in the filings as: minor demolition with installation of new interior partitions, storefront, doors and frames (ll demise and storefront) as per plans. No change to use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $1,719,393.

The building is home to several high profile tenants, such as ABC Studios, Disney, and NASDAQ.
