Steven A. Cohen buys Citi Field valued at $554M from Fred Wilpon, Saul Katz

Steven A. Cohen through the entity Crown Intermediate LLC acquired from Fred Wilpon and Saul Katz’s Sterling RE Holdings, LLC Citi Field valued at $553.9 million at 123-01 Roosevelt Avenue, 123-01 Roosevelt Avenue and other parcels Queens. The deal closed on November 6, 2020, and was recorded on November 17, 2020. The transaction consists of 4 parcels, including the tax class parks (Q1).

This transfer values the Citi Field property at $553.9 million of the $2.4 billion sale price tag. The city netted $12.65 million and the state $3.1 million in transfer taxes on the sale. The New York Times reported late last month that the city was considering holding up the sale of the team.
