Silvercup Studios files plans for 18K sf film studio in LIC

Silvercup Studios, on June 30, filed a permit application for construction of a 18,937-square-foot film studio at 35-09 Starr Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Joshua Sager, director of studio construction and capital projects at Silvercup Studios, filed the plans.

There have been 30 new building plans, including these, filed in LIC in the previous 12 months.

The plans call for the construction of a 69-foot-tall, one-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00758917.

The development site spans one tax lot. The lot has a width of 200 feet.

The project is described in the filing as: herewith filing new building.

Per the plans, the building will be used as a motion picture studio without spectators.

The architect listed is Shalat Architects P.C.
