The last time the property sold was August 11, 2016, when Sam Chang’s McSam Hotel Group bought it for $37,644,000. In April 2017, the ownership signatory of the property changed to Aiyun Chen, and was no longer at McSam’s Great Neck address, however, no formal title transfer has been recorded.
There has been a filing in the DOB to divide tax lot 19 into tax lots 19 and 30, but that has not yet been recorded in Acris. Aiyun Chen filed plans for a 173,574-square-foot residential building in February 2018.
