Plans filed for LIC building with 92 hotel rooms, 22 apartments, fifth NB planned at site since 2005
Mason Chen, on August 11, filed a permit application for construction of a 114-unit, 82,365-square-foot mixed-use building with 92 hotel rooms and 22 apartments, at 25-10 42nd Road in Long Island City, Queens.
Earlier this year, Judy Chang through the company Royal One Real Estate II, LLC, filed very similar plans which called for the construction of an 82,941-square-foot building with 96 hotel rooms and 25 apartments at the property. However, that job was closed as of May 26.
There have been several plans filed at the site throughout the years, none of which were ever completed. In 2005 plans were filed for a residential building, followed by plans for a 180-key hotel in 2008, and finally plans for a 175-key hotel in 2019, which were also filed by Mason Chen.
The plans call for the construction of a 108-foot-tall, 10-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00555969. A link to the zoning documents is here.

The project is described in the filing as: proposed 10-story mixed-use building of 92 transient hotel rooms and 22 residential apartments with retails store at first floor as shown on drawings filed herewith.
According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby and retail space. Floors three through six will each have 24 hotel rooms per floor. The seventh floor will have a recreation room and a swimming pool. Floors eight through 10 will each have seven dwelling units per floor, the scope of work does not explicitly mention the 22nd dwelling unit, although it is likely on the ground floor. The roof will have recreation space and the cellar will have parking for 30 cars.
